BOATING NEWS:

 CONGRATULATIONS JUSTIN SOZIO!! As reported in the Gloucester County Times on Thursday, February 16, 2006 by outdoors writer Ralph Knisell, The New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife announced the winners of the annual Skillful Angler Awards Contest. Justin was the winner in the catch and release category. He hooked and released a 23-inch big mouth bass while fishing in Bell’s Lake. By the way, Justin’s photo with his catch is shown in our “How Big Was It?” link. It’s the top photo. .Justin’s accomplishment is a great start for the 2006 season, and we appreciate the free press!  Anyone who wishes to share their photos or stories with us may do so by forwarding them to me.

TO RENEWING BOATERS - new boat stickers will not be issued this year.  Your current boat sticker is still valid. If your sticker is damaged or cannot be easily read, please contact me for a new one.

TO NEW BOATERS: You will be contacted with information on how to obtain your key and boat sticker. You must sign a Waiver before these items will be issued to you.

ALL BOATS MUST DISPLAY VALID STICKERS. Any boat not displaying a valid sticker may be removed by GPBLCC.

 

WHEN USING OUR FACILITY PLEASE:

Do not chain your boat to the fence
Be sure your boat is clear of the ramp. Any boat blocking the ramp will be moved.
Lock the gate when out on the lake, and when leaving the facility.
Place trash in the cans provided for your use.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

The following rules and regulations have been established by the Greenwood Park Bells Lake Community Club for the safeguarding of its members and their guest and for the protection of property. Since each member has a vested interest in the safe and healthful operation of the Club's facilities, it is essential that these Rules and regulations be observed.

1.NO PETS of any kind will be allowed onto the grounds.

2.NO GLASS, - NO GLASS articles of any kind are permitted on club grounds.

3.All aluminum shall be thrown into RECYCLING CONTAINERS.

4.FLOATS ARE NOT PERMITTED in the lake area, nor in the pool except on designated raft nights.

5.BOATING AND FISHING IS NOT PERMITTED in or near the roped off swim area.

6.BOATING IS PERMITTED in the lake outside the roped off area.

7.GASOLINE ENGINES in any form ARE PROHIBITED. They may not be attached to the boat.

8.PROFANITY OR FIGHTING WILL not be tolerated anywhere or anytime.

9.USE OF THE POOL OR LAKE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED WHEN THERE IS NO LIFEGUARD PRESENT.

10.Anyone renting a boat or owning a boat MUST HAVE A LIFE JACKET OR CUSHION FOR EVERYONE IN THE BOAT.

11. Violations of posted rules is REASON TO EJECT OR OTHERWISE RESTRICT a person, or group of persons from using the facilities for a period of time specified by the Club Manager. The Board of Directors may also REVOKE, OR OTHERWISE DENY MEMBERSHIP TO THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO do not conform to the rules and regulations promulgated there from.

SAFETY RULES 

NO RUNNING WRESTLING SLIDING SMOKING DUCKING SPITTING PUSHING FLOATING TOYS DIVING OF THE HEADS OF OTHERS HORSEPLAY OF ANY KIND

1. POOL MANAGER IS THE BOARDS REPRESENTATIVE, AND HAS FULL AUTHORITY for the interpretation and enforcement of all rules and regulations of the Club.

2. LIFEGUARDS HAVE COMPLETE AUTHORITY TO ENFORCE all Club Rules and Regulations.

3. During SWIM TEAM PRACTICE or at SWIM LESSONS all persons are limited to the immediate pool deck area only. Members (especially children) are not to wander the club grounds, or play in any area other than the immediate pool apron areas. This is especially applicable to the lake area.

POLICIES

The following policies have been established by the Greenwood Park Bells Lake Community Club Board of Directors for the safe operation of the Club's activities and the fair and efficient conduct of Club business. These policies may be added to, deleted, or modified by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.

1.In case of an emergency (i.e. weather or natural causes) the pool will be closed by the Manager until conditions warrant its reopening.

3.Youngsters under the age of twelve must be accompanied by an adult or another child at least eighteen years of age who will be responsible for his or her well being.

4.The Club has no facilities for checking valuables. Please do not bring them as the Club will not be responsible for articles lost or stolen.

5.All guests must be accompanied by a member in good standing. Children may bring an adult guest who must be responsible for that child=s care and behavior. Children must be twelve years of age to come to the pool by themselves.

6.Senior citizens are permitted in the Club free of charge as the guest of a member.

7.All children twelve years of age and under must take a swim test before going beyond the roped off areas of the pool and lake. Swim bands must be worn at all times.

8.If a member has a problem with the operation of the club, the member should first bring it to the attention of the Manager and the Manager should bring it to the attention of the Board of Directors. If the member's problem is with the manager, the member may bring the problem directly to the board.

9.Anyone wishing to run classes and/or programs at the club must first obtain written permission from the Board of Directors. The program will be run under the Board's guidelines.

10.No one under the age of eighteen may join the club without an adult family member joining.

11.Boat rental will be limited to persons of at least twelve years of age.
