The 2008 summer season at Greenwood Park/Bells Lake is here! The summer weather, swim club events, activities with friends and family as well as barbecues, volleyball, movie night, teen splash, frogs swim team, and other exciting activities are “happening” at the swim club.
IMPROVEMENTS: The biggest changes to the swim club you have noticed is the relocation of the basketball court to the back area of the swim club, the second 20 x 40 party tent, and an updated sound system has been installed for your listening enjoyment. We believe the improvements will continue to keep Greenwood Park/Bells Lake as Washington Township’s PREMIER swim club!
FROGS SWIM TEAM: The Greenwood Park Frogs swim team is off to another successful year in 2008. The Frogs are a team of the future, carrying on the great tradition. If you’re interested in learning more about the swim team please contact Rob Mele (kyramele@comcast.net) our Swim Team Chairman or Erik Pedersen (eped3226@comcast.net) Tri-County Swimming rep. GO FROGS!!!!
“DAM” GOLF OUTING: The golf outing held on June 21st was a huge success! A “thank you” to Brian Weiss, Christine Weiss, Murph, and all the people that helped with the organization and great time everyone had! The golf event was fun and the barbecue back at the swim club was OUTSTANDING! Brian sure does know how to feed over 100 people! The Dam donations exceeding $2,500 and the 50/50 winner donated the money back to the Dam fund!
CHILDREN’S CAMP: "In keeping with the mission statement of our Community Club, we have expanded our services to help one of our local day care facilities. The children will come to the club on Monday and Wednesday from 12 to 3pm. Just to assure everyone, we will not be offering this to any other day care. The swim club previously used by the day care has closed and these children have no other swim club to go to within their required travel time. They will be attending for these two days at three hours each day until August 18. They are supervised by the required number of adults as per the rules governing day care facilities and are fully insured. The additional revenue we receive will allow us to continue to maintain the swim club at the highest level and to make the improvements that we all enjoy. Please take the opportunity to welcome all the children to our club. Who knows there may be a great "Frog" lurking in those little tadpoles!
ENTERTAINMENT: We have a great summer planned with bands, DJ’s, activities, etc in 2008. Please continue to check the board when you enter for all the dates or the website at www.bellslake.com. Great job to Concetta for her organization of these events!
